News > Fort Worth Townhouses - the Perfect Hybrid

Townhouses are popular in Fort Worth and for good reason. Busy people often need a maintenance-free lifestyle. While townhouses have many of the advantages of a single-family home, they don’t come with the downsides like the time and costs associated with landscaping and yard work. Instead owners of Fort Worth townhouses enjoy lush curb appeal without spending their weekends to get it.

Our website lists condos and townhouses because both are easy-care communities in convenient urban locations. But condos aren’t a fit for everyone for several reasons.  Here's where townhouses come in.  They

Townhouses usually have private backyard patio that requires little work and lots of enjoyment. Condos may have a balcony but often this might not be enough for some. Private patios provide your own personal refuge to get a breath of fresh air and relax; it gives your children or pets a place to play outdoors. The homes at River Bend Villas, for example, include a large patio area that’s perfect for cookouts and entertaining friends or family.

Townhouses usually offer more space. An average two-bedroom condo includes about 1,200 square feet of living space whereas two-bedroom townhouses are often 1,500 square feet or more. At Giverny Chateaus, for example, two-bedroom townhouses feature 1,646 square feet.

Townhouses often come with a garage! When you downsize from a single-family home, extra storage space is vital. Plus you need a safe place to park your car. Most Fort Worth townhouses have attached garages. Trinity Bluff is a great example of a downtown residence with a two-car attached garage on the lower level. These four-story townhouses spread your living space up instead of out. In the process, residents benefit from spectacular skyline views from the rooftop deck.

Some of the main reasons that people like condos is for the amenities, but many townhouse communities still have  a pool and a clubhouse and/or workout room.

Whether its a larger townhouse or a smaller condo, there are plenty of choices for an easy care residence in Fort Worth.
