News > Giverny Chateaus Getting a New Phase
2016-04-09
When opening in 2006, townhomes in the gated 55+ community of Giverney Chateaus attracted empty nesters downsizing from larger single family homes as well as buyers simply looking for the upscale home feel and maintenance-free lifestyle. Now, construction is currently underway on a new phase of townhomes that will not only introduce more active adults to the Giverny Chateau experience; it will provide different townhome options than those currently available.
New Phase. New Look.
The new phase will include five triplex buildings for a total of 15 townhomes. Since each building takes approximately 100 days to construct and finish out, the builder – Turn Key Builders, LLC – is projecting completion of the entire construction process in 2017. While the original townhomes are two story, the next generation will be geared toward buyers preferring one story residences. Instead of offering several floor plan choices, which is customary across the homebuilding spectrum, every townhome will feature a completely different floor plan. But buyers that purchase during pre-construction can opt for a standard floor plan if they prefer.
Bells and Whistles
Most of the design features that have made Giverny Chateaus popular will be utilized in the new one story townhomes including 9-foot ceilings, open concept living and dining space, granite kitchen countertops, high-end appliances and hardwood flooring along with wide doorways and hallways, walk-in showers and walk-in closets in master bedrooms. In addition to attached two-car garages, all units will contain three bedrooms and two baths with interiors ranging in size from 1,820 to 1,938 square feet. Outdoor space includes a small grassy area plus a private patio or courtyard that’s ideal for relaxing and grilling.
Aging-in-place options are available as well, with items like handrails in the bathroom and wheelchair width doorways. These need to be chosen early in the building process, a good reason to get going on your purchase before these are completed.
Common areas, greenspace and pool are favorite places to meet and socialize with neighbors. Outside the complex, the adjacent park contains a walking, jogging and biking trail where you can get plenty of exercise and enjoy native greenery and seasonal colors. Walmart Neighborhood Market is within walking distance, and the Fort Worth Central Business District, Ridglea Country Club and loads of shopping, dining and entertainment are just minutes away via Highway 183 and Interstate 20 to get to Hulen Mall.
Take Advantage of Pre-Sale Perks
Townhome prices at Giverny Chateaus start in the upper $280s. Since the new phase is still in construction, now is the time to get “more bang for your buck” as we say in Cowtown. You still have time to pick your condo location and floor plan and customize its finishes to your own personal style, need and distinction. When you select the colors, flooring, countertops, backsplashes and fixtures, you may save money in the long-run by avoiding the need – or desire – to upgrade any time soon. There aren't many new townhome communities in Fort Worth right now, so this development will be a welcome addition to the inventory.
